Echo Cigar is a “little cigar” (リトルシガー) version of the historic Echo brand, redesigned to retain the original tobacco character while adapting to tobacco regulations. Launched in 2019 by Japan Tobacco (JT), it uses leaf wrapper (シート葉巻紙) instead of standard paper, delivering a richer aroma and fuller feel. It maintains the “firm draw and the deep tobacco umami (コクのあるうまみ)” that Echo has been known for, now in a compact cigar cigarette hybrid.
Despite its small size, Echo Cigar produces a dense, enveloping smoke that combines sweetness, a touch of rustic bitterness, and a tobacco core. Many longtime Echo fans note that it retains echoes (pun intended) of the original flavor, especially in throat feel and aroma.
